WordPress is the biggest content management platform with the largest share in the market. However, this is the smallest reason why it should be used. It was launched in 2003, and has grown 65 percent in the global market since its launch. It is used by 25 percent of the websites around the world, and has 76.5 million blog sites that it hosts. Fifty-thousand websites are being launched daily from WordPress.

WordPress is open-source software, which means free to use, distribute, and edit. Anyone is free to create any type of website using WordPress, such as e-commerce websites and membership websites. According to Google, it is 99 percent SEO friendly. There are multiple SEO plugins available to help improve the visibility of the website.

WordPress is booming because it is so easy to use. There are lots of tutorials and other features built-in for publishing blogs, user management, comments, RSS feeds, revisions, and more. If there are any problems a user cannot fix, WordPress has a massive community of active developers who can help. There is also a well-maintained support forum that contains millions of problems and their solutions.

Anyone can customize the theme even if they are not a developer. Customizing the website through coding is not necessary. There are two different ways to customize the website: through panels and codes. When the site is customized through panels, all settings are provided in a control panel under the WordPress dashboard, which is easy and simple. Alternatively, the website can be customized using code. If a user is new to coding, then it may be difficult at first, but it gets easier after awhile.

Even though hackers try to find loopholes to gain access to sites built with WordPress, the security is strong and has regular updates to protect against vulnerability. There are bonus security methods made for the program that can be used to ensure the website is super safe. The software even supports multimedia. It has a very rich text editor that supports images, video, and audio in a blog post.

Last but not least, it is easily integrated with any service or application. WordPress works exceptionally well alone, but it works even better with plugins. There are more than 41,000 plugins available in the repository. It is evolving on a day-to-day basis to improve its user-friendly interface and features.

As time goes by, the platform continues to enhance its features to its latest version. In the near future, there may be enhancements such as, more optimized SEO features, large amounts of WordPress users, larger and more convenient dashboards, and more. WordPress is on the move and is becoming the most dominant content management platform.
