Is He Serious About His Retirement?

Tom Brady officially announced his retirement early Wednesday morning. He had dropped a video to his 13.2 million followers on Instagram expressing his gratitude to everyone for helping his career. Brady had announced his retirement once before at the end of the 2021 postseason. He wanted to spend more time with his family, and his now ex-wife Gisele Bündchen was one of the main reasons for his decision.

Tom Brady changed his mind a few weeks later and decided that he was coming back. The couple split mid-season and it eventually led to a divorce.

He also struggled this season having a negative record and being eliminated by the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round. Despite this, Brady had 4,694 yards with 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions to end the season. Brady didn’t miss a game this season at 45 years old. The Buccaneers may have had a bad season this year, but he is no doubt a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.

Tom Brady’s Legacy

Tom Brady possibly has the best resume for an NFL quarterback ever. In his 23-year career, he managed to win seven Super Bowls. This is only one of the many things that he has achieved over his career.

To give an insight into how great Brady was, let’s display his accolades. He ranks first all-time in wins, pro bowls, super bowl MVPs, completions, attempts, passing yards, and touchdowns. This doesn’t even include all of his rankings in the post-season which is long as well.

Brady spent the majority of his career with the New England Patriots, where he found most of his success. Following Bill Belichick’s coaching, it led them to six super bowls within 17 years. Brady has been a winner since the moment he stepped foot in the league which always made him special. He is an NFL legend whose dominance in the game will never be forgotten. Speaking from all of the NFL community, thank you, Tom Brady.
