Ever since the trailer for a second season of “Stranger Things” has been released, fans have been hyped for the increasingly close season debut, on Oct. 27, 2017, on Netflix.
With Halloween just around the corner, a multitude of fans are preparing themselves for another one of the Duffer Brothers’ fantastic series. With the return of the beloved main cast of “Stranger Things,” viewers will finally be able to witness that happens to the crew of children after Season 1. The trailer leaves promises of exciting and new concepts that Eleven, Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas will have to overcome, Some will be more difficult, and maybe there will even be traumatizing trials.
The new season will ultimately consist of new monsters, an increase of telekinetic powers, and more of the “Upside Down.” The first episode will take place a year after the first season, showing the group of Dungeons and Dragons-loving preteen boys trying to continue with their ordinary lives. They are trying to forget about the dangerous Demogorgon, and Eleven, a mysterious girl with incredible powers. But as fate would have it, the group will get much more than they bargained for as Will cannot simply forget about what he went through in the Upside Down.
The series will not give all of the answers and will not give the viewers any straight-forward explanation on how these interdimensional monsters came to be or even how the Upside Down functions. Although in this series Eleven will not be traveling with the boys again, instead she is heading out on her own adventure to find her parents and where she came from. Described by one of the creators as, ” Eleven going on her own journey in a way that was much more personal to her and wasn’t tied to the boys – a journey of self-discovery without the help of anyone else.”
The Duffer Brothers want to bring this series to a new height of expectations. They expect that it will take five seasons for “Stranger Things” to come to a conclusion. Ross Duffer added:
It’s a fine line and it’s difficult and obviously sequels always feel this way because people want some of the same – that’s why they liked it in the first place – by you don’t want to just go in circles.
The series has brought a great numbers of viewers to Netflix to watch this original series, with its heartwarming and blood rushing moments.
