Social Media

When it comes to social media, one may be wondering what exactly is a social media management system? Ultimately, a social media management system is a set of tools that were designed to help a person to both analyze and manage interactions on multiple social media accounts from a single dashboard. The two most popular of these systems are HootSuite and TweetDeck.

HootSuite is a social media management system, which helps to manage networks. Functions of this platform include being able to manage multiple networks, and for business owners to keep track of what is being said about their brand. With this platform, one can respond almost instantly. It is also a great way to keep a personal relationship with current and potential clientele. It allows one to view streams from multiple networks. These include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.

Not only are users able to monitor these accounts, but they also have full access to them. HootSuite allows one to comment, like, share, stream, and post on each network. It also gives a person the power to have multiples of the same network and connect to multiple servers.

HootSuite allows one to perfect their social media strategy by allowing them to schedule multiple posts in advance. Having a social media plan is essential for business owners. It helps to promote brand awareness, leads, and sales. It is also important if one cares about their social goals. This social media management system helps people to post the right things at the right time, while it can also help with likes, shares, and comments received on a post.

If a person uses HootSuite to solely manage their networks, HootSuite sends out a free analytical report weekly. It gives graphs showing the numbers of clicks per day, geographical information from the clicks, top references, and most popular links. This will only work if a person always uses HootSuite to manage their networks.

Another positive with HootSuite is the cross-platform, so it could be used on the web or mobile device. This means that one can access HootSuite on Mac, OSX, Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms, such as iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry.

With all the positives on this platform, there will be some bad. One of the biggest things is that HootSuite can be costly.

If one enjoys the analytical part of managing their account, the cost could be a deal breaker. If a person has the free profile with HootSuite, they will get up to two free reports. If one has the pro plan, then they get 50 points. These points are how one pays for the reports. Each report costs 45 points. To purchase 45 points costs $50 each time, or $45 if one pays yearly.

Another thing users are annoyed with is the fact that people are forced to use the owly URL shortener. Clients could see that a business is sending their information from HootSuite, which could cause some customers to stray away thinking that the business does not check their social media. There is the choice to purchase a custom URL, but it will cost $49.99 per month. This will cost about $588.88 per year, not including the domain purchase.

Though Hootsuite could become costly, it is still a great platform to use as a social media management system. One will have all of their social networks in one place with constant access to all of them. This is great for keeping track of one’s brand.

TweetDeck is also a great social media management system. It was designed to improve organization and functionality across all of a person’s Twitter accounts. Unlike HootSuite, TweetDeck is only for Twitter. TweetDeck is ideal for individuals and businesses that need to organize social media profiles, manage multiple accounts. TweetDeck is totally free to use.
