Shirley’s Cookie Company Inc. of Claysburg, PA, is recalling its 16-ounce packages of “Chocolate Whoopie Pie” because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

RecallThe recalled “Chocolate Whoopie Pie” was distributed to Weis Markets Headquarters 1000 South 2nd Street
Sunbury, Penn. on September 14, 2018. The affected 55 cases/660 units of “Chocolate Whoopie Pie” has a batch code of 227256 and freezer sell by 9/1/19.

The product comes in a 16-ounce clear plastic package marked with a wrap around Weis Label with a UPC of 4149710692.
