Video games are a favorite downtime activity for many guys. Whether it is screaming at someone else online to pass them the ball, or screaming at the game itself because “they cheated” on them. Girls do not play video games right? Wrong. There are actually many video games that are strictly made just for girls. According to Statista, the number of females playing video games is steadily increasing each year. There are girls today of all ages who play video games. Video games are not just for guys and one special girl can prove it.

Kiara Reese is a senior who attends Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Illinois.

Reese is just one of many young girls who enjoys playing video games. Reese plays many other games, but enjoys playing life simulation games such as “The Sims” collection.

“The Sims” is a life simulation game series that was developed by Maxis, and “The Sims Studio” is published by Electronic Arts. The franchise has sold nearly 200 million copies worldwide, and it is one of the best-selling video games series of all time. The game also consists of four different versions, such as”The Sims,” “Sims 2,” “Sims 3,” and “Sims 4.” The very first game was released, on Feb. 4, 2000, and the latest, “Sims 4,” was released on Sept. 2, 2014.

These games can be played on any console, mobile phone, and/or PC. Reese prefers either console or PC.

This game is for all genders who are teens and above.

Reese enjoyed playing this game over the years and is very passionate about it. She loves it so much that her and her mom would even play it together. When Reese plays, her creativity shoots right through the roof. She creates large families or sometimes, she will create just one Sim to start off, and have her work her way up to a career they can pursue.

The number of skills and careers Reese allows her personalized characters to achieve is endless. Reese also manages an Origin account to play on her PC. She used to play on her Xbox, until Reese decided to play on a computer. She realized that she is more comfortable on the computer and the graphics are much better.

Besides having all of the wonderful aspects the game comes with, it also has a prodigious amount of game packs and extensions that many gamers use that can make their gaming experience more adventurous. When Reese finds out about a new game pack or extension being released, she immediately saves her money so she can have a collection of them and have a suitable life for her Sims.

Reese is an epitome of not caring what people think. She lets it be known that she plays video games, especially “The Sims” and because of this, it allows other girls to not be afraid either. Reese does not play this game often, but when she does, she plays with a purpose, and that purpose is to be unique.
