Pandemic Makes People, Lazy?

Pandemic

In today’s day and age things that were common only six months ago seem like a distant memory. The ability to go to a restaurant or even see your friends has been lost to the pandemic. On top of all this, being productive becomes increasingly more difficult. Without knowing when we will be able to go out and enjoy our lives again, it seems as though we may have to social distance forever.

During all of this, work and school are one of the things that most people prefer not to think about as focus and concentration can be difficult to muster in this time of macabre circumstance. Online learning has spread across the globe, as schools attempt to salvage the rest of the school year. I think I speak for many when I say it was less than ideal. Attempting to learn to the caliber as we were while we were in a classroom was simply impossible, and it led to many hours of Youtube searching and internet help to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I think many are concerned for the future school year because education is cumulative. It is built from the ground up. I fear that the lack of education will crack my foundation, and for years to come, I will struggle to build atop it.

Although I found many upsides to the pandemic. I have had more good memories and family dinners than I would have if we remained in school. I was able to spend time with my family and build even better relationships with them. I was able to spend time with myself and find out what I really enjoy. So, I say although this pandemic has caused much pain and suffering for many, it is always important to look for the good, when the bad is unavoidable.
