Famous “Grease” actress, Olivia Newton-John, dead at 73, passed away within the comfort of her country home. The actress’ last moments took place at her Ranch in Southern California, on August 11, 2022, following a long battle with breast cancer.

The singer battled cancer ever since 1992 when she was first diagnosed with a lump in her breast. Several times, she went into remission and again discovered it in her shoulder and back of 2017.

During her decades of cancer scares Newton-John never spent a dull moment in her life. With pictures of her together with her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, with the description: “I worship this woman. My mother. My best friend.”

Even after confirmation that her cancer has spread almost irreversibly, the Australian actress became an outspoken advocate for cancer awareness. At the news of her death, despite the fact her cancer was already known about long before, friends and family still mourn her too soon passing. Along with many of her fans.

Now that news of Olivia’s death was announced to the public many fans were prompted to revisit her music. In just four short days Luminata Data marks a 614 percent increase on the week of August 11, 2022. All in all a remarkable increase due to the fact the star had not received any considerable traction since the early 1980’s when she reached her height in popularity.

Reminiscent fans looking to keep her alive through her music dramatically rose her popularity on streaming sites. Audio and video streaming for her music saw a 9,689,516 viewing increase. And predictably the soundtrack viewing for “Grease” also saw a tremendous increase.

The singer and actress, although involved in many other films she is best known for starring opposite John Travolta in 1978’s musical film “Grease.” And although their chemistry off-set might not have been as steamy as on camera the two still endured a long-lasting friendship. In the end, after her passing he wrote a short tribute to her passing in an Instagram post: “You made our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible.”
