A South Korea Chief of Staff has confirmed a new missile launch from Pyongyang on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at 22:00 GMT. This becomes the second weapon North Korea fired over Japanese territory within a frame of a month.

The part most affected by this threat was Hokkaido, Japan’s second largest island. It is located on the northern side of the peninsula. Alarms and sirens were activated in order to maintain and keep residents safe.

It is also reported that the missile flew over 3,700 kilometers reaching heights of 770 kilometers before landing in the Pacific Ocean. This is North Korea’s longest-range missile to date. The distance reached was slightly greater than the distance between Pyongyang and Guam.

Although global pressure has been imposed on the North Korean regime, they continue to impetuously launch missiles. Almost immediately after President Donald Trump said the U.S. would address the situation with “fire and fury,” Kim Jong-Un, sent a ballistic missile over Japan. Five days after, on Sept. 3, they tested their sixth and most powerful hydro nuclear bomb.

U.S Defense Secretary, Jim Mattis has already made a comment. He stated that the launch was an unacceptable and reckless act.
