Nick Cannon States Anti-Semitic Comments

Nick Cannon and his longtime relationship with Viacom-CBS has been dropped after making the antisemitic comments on a podcast, Cannon said Black people are the “true Hebrews.” The actor also talked about anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, some included the Rothschild family. Cannon also stated that he did not see his comments as racist. Especially due to his religious beliefs. He continued on by saying, “That’s our birthright… We are the true Hebrews.”

ViacomCBS spokesperson immediately released a statement saying that the company’s relationship with Cannon is now terminated based on these comments. ViacomCBS wanted to ensure their viewers they do not share the same beliefs as Cannon.

The company made it very clear that they do not condone any kind of categorically denounce or forms of anti-Semitism. The company made it known and very clear that they Will and have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode on his podcast regarding anti-Semitism. Cannon’s episode was about anti-Semitismon was streamed through YouTube as well, which promoted hateful speech and apparently strongly spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

They also said that they support ongoing education and dialogue in the fight against injustices against individuals however they are deeply upset that he failed to acknowledge or even apologize for attempting to spread this anti-Semitism. Then decided they are and will be terminating our relationship with him. They committed to doing better in response to incidents of anti-Semitism and racism. The company stated they will further announcements on efforts to combat hate of all kinds no matter the race.
