A person’s immune system must be healthy to fight against the coronavirus. Fortunately, a collection of studies indicate that negative ions can boost a person’s ability to ward off pathogens. In fact, the lion’s share of scientists, worldwide, support the use of negative ions and, have tested and proven they can identify “a wide range of beneficial effects on the human body’s health, and well-being.”

In our present environment, experts advise people to develop habits that will aid in their wellbeing. Habits such as getting enough rest, eating well, washing one’s hands and staying hydrated are regularly encouraged by medical professionals. What is not heard enough is how negative ions can have a net positive effect on a person’s physical and mental health, and at high enough levels, they can aid in the recovery process.

Negative ions boost a person’s immunity to viruses by alkalizing (increasing pH level) the body. Thus, viruses cannot multiply in an alkaline environment. Researchers say that maintaining an alkaline body will reduce inflammation, revitalize cells, and increase the immunoglobulin that strengthens the immune system.

The coronavirus infects cells that have low pH levels. For example, the virus “is quite stable at pH 6.0 (acidic) but rapidly and irreversibly inactivated by brief treatment at pH 8.0 (alkaline). Data suggests that raising the pH increases the immune system’s ability to kill bacteria,” according to The Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine in London. As such, they believe that keeping the body’s pH level alkaline can reduce the risk or lessen the severity of a coronavirus.

In a 2016 3-year-study, biologists observed the effects of drinking negatively ionized water in 250 mice. They discovered increased longevity of nearly 10 percent over the control groups.

Are negative ions as necessary to humans as air?

Consider this:

  • They neutralize free radicals,
  • Have antibacterial and antiviral effects,
  • Enhance immune function,
  • Purify the blood circulation, decrease blood sugar, cholesterol, and increase calcium,
  • Have anti-allergic and asthma effects,
  • Balance the autonomic nervous system, regulate the heart rate, digestion, and respiratory rate,
  • Increase levels of brain serotonin, which reduces anxiety, stress, fatigue, depression, migraine,
  • Enables better sleep, and relaxation
  • And, have an anti-inflammatory effect and are natural pain relievers.

One could very well draw the conclusion that negative ions are extremely important to sustaining human life and protect it from deadly disease.

How Negative Ions Support the Immune System

The main reason a person is susceptible to diseases, like COVID-19 or influenza, is because humans often suffer from imbalanced immune systems. However, since the consumption of negative ions can strengthen the immune system, it seems prudent for researchers to expand investigations into their potential ability to protect against the coronavirus.

According to the research, negative ions strengthen immunity cells by making them more energetic and healthier. This enhances their ability to destroy pathogens. Bob McCauley, CNC, MH, explains the two things a person needs in order to maintain a healthy immune system are negative ions and adequate hydration.

In his book, “The Miraculous Properties of Ionized Water,” he discusses hydrating. “Drinking ionized water reduces the body’s acid level as it balances its overall pH.” The retail market is saturated with such products. While these add negative ions they become unstable once bottled unless the manufacturer uses Electron Energized Technology. The E2 technology mega-loads negative ions onto the water molecule, which remains stable after bottling.

When a person is ill, negative ions can also accelerate the production of antibodies by lymphocytes (white blood cells) thereby increasing the number of antibodies in one’s body. The reason this is important is because the immune system uses antibodies to identify and neutralize bacteria and viruses.

Another way negative ions aid in improving one’s immune system comes directly from their power to increase brain serotonin which is not only necessary for the treatment of depression but also reduces other factors that raise cortisol levels or adrenaline.

Additionally, studies indicate that there is a correlation between mental health and physical health. In other words, people with poor mental health are a high-risk factor for chronic physical conditions. For the mentally ill a range of respiratory challenges often weakens one’s immune system. Consequently, a person suffering from mental illness is more likely to succumb to infections, whereas, simply handling the stress of an illness can lead to depression.

While the present coronavirus is causing worldwide fear, one might wonder why there is not a surge in political activism demanding government officials investigate all possible potential treatments and preventative measures.

It is clear that today’s coronavirus is significantly more detrimental to elderly communities as evidenced by the 13 elderly deaths reported to have been connected with a Seattle-area care center. Thus, if the studies cited in this report are true, it is this writer’s opinion that the scientific community should be doing everything they can to protect those age groups most at risk. Scientists have concluded that negative ions can enhance the immune system, an immune system that is on the frontline as it attempts to protect the body from the devastating coronavirus.
