I do not think I have a top 10 list of favorite movies but these are the movies in my top ten suggestions out of order from each year of the decade.

2010 “Alice in Wonderland”

One of the movies in my top ten suggestions is “Alice in Wonderland.” This movie is a great movie because as a kid I thought it was something extraordinary. I wanted to see a movie that had magic in it and this movie did.

Although, this movie was not really magical it was more of a dream that felt like it came to reality. It is about a young girl who suffers from hallucinations and personality disorder and she believes everything she sees is real, especially the white rabbit who has OCD and is always talking about being late to something. This movie gives a general understanding of what people with dissociative disorders suffer from.

2011 “Final Destination 5”, “Madea’s Big Happy Family (MBHF)”, and “Paul the Alien”

For this, I believed these are the ones to watch because they all bring something different and something similar to each other. “Final Destination” is about karma coming for people who do bad things but the family has to respond or at least you can look at it that way. “MBHF” is about a family that comes together and overcomes obstacles that are trying to separate them.

“Paul the Alien” is a comedic movie about an alien named Paul who finds a family while the government is looking for him; while the government is looking for him he is able to get away while keeping the audience engaged in laughter. All together the similarity between all three movies is family because a family that is strong together stays together.

2012 “Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2”

Another movie in my top ten suggestions is this movie because it displays what it is like to be a fictional character. The movie displays two brothers with distinct abilities in which they fall in love with a girl and they are fighting to protect her.

The two characters’ names are Jacob Black (the werewolf) and Edward Cullen (the vampire) and they often do not get along when it comes to the human girl named Bella. When it comes to protecting Bella from the stronger vampires that are out to kill everything they put their differences aside and protect her along with their friends and family. This movie displays what it could be like living in two different worlds chasing the same goal.

2013 “Now You See Me”

A lot of movies interest me but this movie speaks out to me as a good suggestion because it brings out the creativeness in magic. This movie displays a couple of thieves with a couple of things up their sleeve that they use to get through life.

These thieves are brilliant with robberies and some of them are famous but the fans do not know about their background. These thieves have robbed so many shows with their creative ideas and the time came where they needed to pull off a big robbery and flee the scene before the police arrived. This movie displays teamwork because they have to work together in order for the robbery to work.

2014 “Lucy”

A lot of movies interest me but I like this movie because it is about a female named Lucy who figures out ways to use the percentage of her brain to do things. She figures out how to unlock more of her brain and that becomes interesting because she can do things that others can not.

She receives these abilities after taking a pill called CPH4 and these pills help her unlock her brain to max capacity. A couple of her abilities are quick reflexes, agility, duration, marksmanship, and many more. This movie gives you a perspective of what it would be like to unlock your brain if there was a drug that would help you do that.

2015 “Tomorrowland”

A lot of movies interest me but this is a good suggestion because this movie puts an image on the audience of what the future could be like. It portrays a land full of robots and futuristic buildings.

This movie is about a girl that found a pin with the letter T on it and when she touched it she found herself in the future. She discovers that she was not the first one who discovered that. She ends up meeting a scientist who made the discovery about the future a long time ago.

movies2016 “Suicide Squad”

I recommend this movie because it is about a team of gifted criminals working together to protect the world. These criminals are led by a skilled shooter needing a death shot but they all are under the government.

They do not have to get along but they have to work together to do good for the world in order to decrease their sentences. It does not matter if one of them dies, they still have to complete the mission/task at hand. If one or all of them decides to do their own thing then they would be killed on the spot.

2017 “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”

A lot of movies interest me but this is a good suggestion because this movie is a great recommendation for anyone who likes movies about aliens. This movie is more than just about being an alien. This movie is about a lost city full of unique aliens and they come in contact with other aliens who destroyed their home.

The whole idea is to maintain order in metro police full of different species with so much knowledge. These aliens see themselves as humans and others as aliens. They have a cycle of believing the other species are the aliens and if one attacks then the species being attacked will have to take matters into their own hands.

2018 “Halloween”

This movie makes the list because it is good for people who like scary movies. It is about a kid with a mental disability and he kills with no purpose while wearing a mask. This kid kills his parents and his oldest sister and he had to grow up in a psychotic center, so he taught himself to get swole and also surrounds himself with pics of his sister.

The kid’s name is Michael Myers and when he gets older he breaks free to fulfill his purpose which was killing all his family members. He did not care who was in the way because he would kill them too so if you are a fan of scary movies then this is a good one.

2019 “Men in Black (MIB): International”

A lot of movies interest me but this is a good suggestion because this movie for one it is a continuation of the “MIB” we all know (should know) and love with Will Smith. This movie is about recruiting new students in a secret organization to fulfill the legacy of Agent J (Will Smith) and Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) or at least come close to it.

Not only fulfill legacies but to do it together as a team. The new recruits are Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) and Molly (Tessa Thompson) and try to work together as a team to collect an item that has been stolen by a mole from the “MIB” organization to save the organization. If they can not come together and save “MIB” then they can not save their jobs.

These are just some of the movies I would recommend.
