On Monday morning, a 30-year-old man was struck in the head with a gun after an argument broke out. He was leaving the Grand Station at the Chicago Transit Authority Red Line in Chicago, Illinois. Shots were also fired at the time of the incident police said. No one was reported shot
According to Chicago police, at approximately 9 a.m., the man was leaving the CTA platform at the Grand Station stop at the red line when an argument started. The argument evolved into a physical fight.
At the time of the fight, the man was struck in the head with a gun. The victim was brought to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. No one has been brought into custody as of Monday morning.
This situation took place approximately seven hours after the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy, Vadarrion A. Knight, near the same location. Police stated that Knight was shot at the first block of East Grand Avenue not long after 2 a.m. The suspect fled by foot.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene where he took two gunshots to the chest and one to the knee. Area Three detectives are investigating and no one has been brought into custody yet.
