A female lion cub, named “Putin” or “Dadou,” is reported to have been found by police in a Lamborgini today, Nov. 13, 2018, near Champs-Élysées, also known as “the most beautiful in the world'” representing its prestige and elegance.

The 33-year-old man who was spotted taking selfies with the cub alerted authorities to its presence in the area. BBC News reported the man insisted the cub was just a cat” upon being arrested for his picture taking efforts.

The cub was turned over to the 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation, an animal rescue organization that shelters wild animals. The Gulf Today and BBC News both place the cub at approximately two months old. However, this is not the first incident of a lion cub being found in France.

BBC News linked this story with another about a cub that was found this past October in an apartment in Paris suburbs. The Gulf Today confirms that the cub found last month was six weeks old. The owner was arrested and given six months in prison. During that case, other investigations launched discovered about three other baby lions kept around the capital.

Another cub found October was reported as “weighing just a few kilos was found in a car garage in the southern French city of Marseille.”

The Royal Industry News ends their article by saying that the keeping baby lions as pets “have been an ongoing problem” in France. It is possible that France’s residents are aware of this problem which is why charities like the 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation were created, to protect and defend animals. They also educate younger generations about respecting all forms of life.
