Johnny Pizarro, 31-year-old, was shot and killed at around 5 a.m. on the morning of July 19, 2022. He was a crew member for the well-known TV show “Law & Order.” Pizarro died on set on the first day of filming.

Filming was canceled for the rest of the day after the unfortunate death of Pizarro occurred. As the investigation continued, it was requested that everyone go home where they would be safe and that the public eye would allow for Mr. Pizarro’s family to grieve in peace and privacy.

Pizarro was in charge of reserving parking spots for the people working for the show, “Law & Order.” It was just a normal day for him, ensuring that the parking spots were empty and reserved when a lone gunman appeared taking his life with the pull of a trigger. Residents said they heard loud gunshots, about 3 gunshots.

Authorities revealed that when they arrived on the scene, they found Pzarro’s body unconscious and unresponsive. Pizarro suffered gunshot wounds to the head and neck and was pronounced deceased after being transported to the hospital.

Residents were shocked by the shooting. Everyone was aware that they had to have their cars removed from the reserved parking spots by 10 p.m. Monday night and they reside in what they thought was a rather safe neighborhood. Now they are troubled by the question “Why?” and now fear for their safety.

A motive for the murder was not immediately discovered and the murderer has yet to be found. However, it was reported that a man in dark clothing was spotted running away from the crime scene shortly after the shooting occurred.

Pizarro’s direct family and friends are deeply saddened and pained by the news of his unfortunate end but are comforted by knowing that he was, to their knowledge, happy, content, and making amends.
