Through the Android 12 Beta 3, Google comes out with a trio of additions to the Sound app established with an extensive collection of ringtones, notifications, and alarm sounds. The additions are very likely to be the new or subsequent Pixel phone defaults to develop.

What Are The Additions and What Sounds Are Expected?

GoogleA 2.8 version of the Sounds app is introduced in the Android 12 Beta 3, which includes the new “Default Alarm sound” called “Fresh Start,” consisting of 31 seconds with a softer evolution. In addition, it is added to the collection of alarm sounds that previously had the “Default Alarm sound” of “Bright Morning” that comes in at 12 seconds. The previous sound is still available with the Pixel phones.

The second addition to the Sound app would be the “Default notification sound” of “Popcorn” replaced by “Eureka.” Although both sounds come out strong, “Eureka” is not too sharp as “Popcorn”; towards the end of the new sound, “Eureka” is more smooth.

Furthermore, the possibility of the current “Phone ringtone” of “The Big Adventure” being switched or replaced by “Your New Adventure” was a suggestion made by the article, “Google updating the default Pixel ringtone, notification, and alarm sounds with Android 12.”. In addition, this suggestion demonstrated the tight linkage between the old and new sounds in the Sound app of Pixel phones.

Moreover, the new sounds of “Eureka” and “Fresh Start” are expected to be the new default sounds on impending devices to come. However, preexisting devices will not have this change of default sounds.

The overall launch of the newly developed Pixel trio is presumed to happen with the public Android 12 launch in the third quarter. Therefore, there is a possibility of Google rolling out via the Play Store with monthly security, despite the fact, there are not anymore Android 11 Feature Drops scheduled to happen.

The updates in the Sound app of the Pixel phones Google is producing provides evidence of the ongoing development of new features the Pixel phones undergo.
