Donald Trump strikes again and this time he’s coming for Lindsey Graham. Trump went after Graham based on the aftermath that occurred after the Supreme court decision involving his financial records. His only ally Senate Judiciary Committee chairman did not advocate enough for him and essentially go after the presidential enemies. Trump went straight to twitter and began to target the Supreme court decision. Trump also noted that Manhatten issued a subpoena seeking tax returns and many other financial records as part of a criminal investigation.
Donald Trump then continued to argue that President Obama did not receive enough scrutiny over his decision to open counterintelligence investigation against the Trump campaign in 2016. ” We have a totally corrupt previous Administration, including a President and Vice President who spied on my campaign, AND GOT CAUGHT…and nothing happens to them,” Trump said. He specifically targets Graham and her administration calling them out essentially trying to get a response.
Although the president did not take into account the fact that Graham is running an extremely important investigation in the origins of Russia investigation. She was granted this subpoena power from the former senior Obama administration officials. Graham did not respond to Trump and ignored his tweet and request from Trump. Donald Trump pleaded for a subpoena against the former president Obama, demanding that Obama be put under oath so that he could not lie. Graham rejected these requests based upon it being a dangerous precedent although Trump pushed his efforts and attacks anyone who doesn’t agree with them wholeheartedly.
