Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many big sporting events have been either sadly postponed or canceled. In Haven, Wisconsin The 2020 Ryder Cup has been postponed and rescheduled until September 2021. This is a very unfortunate situation for the two professional teams and of course, the golf fans. The Ryder Cup is a major golf tournament held every 2 years and played between two teams. 2018 captain for the American team, Jim Furyk, and the captain for the 2018 European team, Thomas Bjorn, are among the great professional golf players. The household views already average at about 500 million every year, and now, it is only going to increase. But according to some of the participants of this sports event, they are hesitant to start the tournament without the fans- like many other sports teams, such as the NBA. “It became clear that as of today, our medical experts and the public authorities in Wisconsin could not give us the certainty that conducting an event responsibly with thousands of spectators in September would be possible. Given that uncertainty, we knew rescheduling was the right call.”
This may mean that we might not see the tournament until fans are allowed into the stadiums and given the pace of the coronavirus, it’ll take a while.
