Chicago’s own Black Barbie has made it official she has declared her political party, and she is ready to take over. She is more likely to inspire young girls to one day do the same is Matel’s goal.

On Tuesday morning, July 29th, the dynamic, iconic toy revealed a brand new set of dolls geared at exposing young ones to public leadership roles and the political process.

2020 continues to be a monumental and groundbreaking year. In this fight for African American families and communities during uncertain economic times, America needs strong, powerful leadership to ensure the government can be trusted.

Americans also need leadership to dismantle racist systems. Four diverse dolls are launched to hopefully expose young women to public leadership roles by showing them a full political campaign team for these toys, the candidate, the campaign manager, the fundraiser, and of course, the voter.

Chicago’s Black Barbie Inspires Millions

Mattel launched the barbie line in 1959, but it was 1980 before a black version premiered to the public.

Barbie’s release has inspired girls and encouraged them to be leaders, whether in the classroom and community. However, this is not entirely accurate.

A Mattel spokesperson tells TMZ, “Barbie is not, and has never been, affiliated with a political party. Barbie has always encouraged girls to stand up for what they believe in and shows them they can be anything.”

The Mattel rep also stated that “This doll set highlights a range of leadership roles to spark interest in shaping the future and raise their voices from the podium to the polls. The set also provides a tool to allow families to have conversations around important and cultural moments through the power of toy play.

It has been stated that President Trump continues to push the claim that mail-in voting is essentially fraudulent and will only benefit democrats in the upcoming election race.

There are essentially no facts to back that up. Barbie has become the latest challenger to Donald Trump presidential, of course, like a giant toy Mattel which launches a 2020 campaign ahead of the election.

On Tuesday, July 29, Mattel announced they were launching the Barbie 2020 Campaign Team to expose young girls to public leadership roles and shape future young women into leaders.

The set includes only four dolls of different ethnicities, including an African American candidate, to remind all girls they can lead from the podium polls. The dolls are currently on sale and sell for $39.99.

Black women are not typically represented in these positions. Mattel’s goal is to inspire African American women to create their own campaigns in the future. The Chicago Barbie Campaign Team was designed using a diverse set of dolls to show all girls they can raise their voices.

They can and will use the dolls to play out their future roles in a presidential campaign. The goal is to help remove barriers to leadership for young women. In addition to the dolls, Mattel is also creating a full marketing program geared towards voting and showing girls how to run a campaign.

Mattel also teamed up with She Should Run, a non-profit that helps provide Women The she Should Run website indicates they are headquartered in Washington D.C.

Chicago and other cities need to inspire young girls to become politicians and inspire goals such as a full all women political group. Women, too, need to work together and inspire each other to build a new future with women in power.
