North Carolina resident and rapper DaBaby, (Jonathan Lyndale Kirk), is dealing with consequences that are stemmed from a fight that broke out at a bowling alley. The fight was between him and Bradon Bills. DaBaby is claiming self-defense.
Bills is the brother of the artist, DaniLeigh Curiel. She is the mother of DaBaby’s child. Bills has placed a lawsuit against DaBaby over their recent physical squabble that was filmed. He is claiming that DaBaby attacked him suddenly. Bills stated that he did not fight back and endured a severe injury to his eye, psychological distress, medical expenses, and disabilities.
The alleged fight happened at a bowling alley location in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022. The video supposedly shows DaBaby and his team fighting with Bills. Law enforcement is conducting an investigation into DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon. Police reported to TMZ that Bills was kicked in the head while he was on the ground.
Police got to the bowling alley after the situation happened. By the time they arrived DaBaby had already left. No arrests or charges were made.
DaniLeigh’s and DaBaby’s Conflict
The cause of the bowling alley brawl between DaBaby and Bills has not been determined. There was some public conflict between DaniLeigh and DaBaby last year. In November, DaBaby called the police on her during a dispute between the pair that took place on Instagram Live. She was charged with assault.
After the situation took place, Bills made a story on his Instagram that challenged DaBaby to a fight the next time he was in the area.
DaniLeigh addressed the brawl between her brother and DaBaby on Instagram. The post had disappeared but was screenshotted. She wrote that it was lame and sad that DaBaby and his group attacked Bills on a slippery floor. He was also by himself. She also said that she prays for this to end now because it is her family and she has a daughter to raise.
Authorities said that the investigation has been paused. The alleged victim has stopped cooperating with the police. The reason has not been determined.
Bowling Brawl and Ignorant Comments
The bowling alley brawl has marked DaBaby’s most recent dispute as he continues to move along after a combustible 2021. Last July at Rolling Loud Miami, he made comments about people that live with AIDS that were ignorant, homophobic, and misogynistic.
DaBaby apologized and tried to make amends. His attempt includes meeting with many organizations for AIDS/HIV. He did not promise to donate or create a partnership with the different organizations.
As he lost some major festival spots due to the backlash, he was able to keep plenty of support. His support ranges from Kanye West to Dave Chappelle.
DaBaby shot someone that trespassed on his property in North Carolina. The audio from the 911 call revealed that DaBaby refused to put his weapon down when the police arrived on the scene.
He had a case against him for Battery in Las Vegas. The case was dismissed in December after he paid $7,500 in restitution. The money went to the driver he allegedly hit during a ride.
