Barbara Sobel received her Bachelors Degree from Hofstra University and Master’s Degree from New York University. She is also a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Barbara has writing in her blood. Her father was Robert Sobel who was a Historian Of American Business and he wrote more than 50 books and hundreds of articles.
Barbara took a different path in life and went into the music business. She branded the ‘Sobel’ name and started a Promotion Company called Sobel Promotions where she promotes the music for over 50 artists, producers, and remixers, a conglomerate of radio stations lead by Sobel Nation Radio, a record label entitled Sobel Nation Records. She also manages artists and remixers. Barbara also is the exclusive promoter of several major artists and record labels and was named Promoter of the Year two years in a row.
Barbara has returned to writing as a writer for the News School and will put her knowledge of music to good use.
