Meth and Fentanyl Consumed by a Two-Year-Old Child


In Belleville, Illinois, a woman was taken into custody and now faces felony charges for allowing to her two-year-old child to consume narcotics. The toddler was found to have ingested methamphetamine and fentanyl. Belleville Police called on Dec. 10 to investigate on a report of child endangerment. They found that the baby had difficulty breathing due to the consumption of

40-year-old Ashley N. Parr was charged on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, and is currently being held at St. Clair County Jail. The judge imposed a $50,000 bond. She has been charged with possession of paraphernalia, reckless conduct causing bodily harm, as well as child endangerment.

Paramedics got to the home and successfully performed CPR. The baby survived and is now recovering at a St. Louis hospital.

Medical reports indicate that the drugs that police found in the home were also present in the 2-year-old’a bloodstream. The child was placed in the custody of relatives.
