94-Year-Old Former President George Bush Passes Away

bushGeorge Herbert Walker Bush passed away on Nov. 30, 2018, he was 94 years old. He died at his home in Houston, Texas according to the announcement made from his office.

H.W. Bush was the 41st president of the United States, his death comes only 8 months after his wife Barbara died. They were married 73 years. He is survived by their sons, George W. the 43rd president, former-Florida Governor Jeb, Neil, and Marvin, their daughter Dorothy, and 17 grandchildren.

The 41st president suffered from a form of Parkinson’s disease that kept him confined to a wheelchair in recent years. One day after his wife’s passing, he was treated for an infection, which has spread to his blood.

He was the vice president under Ronald Reagan 1981-89. Bush served as the Commander in Chief 1989-93.

Born on June 12, 1924, he was the last WWII veteran to serve in the White House. After graduating from school he joined the U.S. Naval Reserve. During his service, 1942-44, he worked as a torpedo bomber pilot and flew over 50 missions. H.W. Bush was awarded Distinguished Flying Cross after being shot down in 1944 by the Japanese.

The former president had a long a distinguished political career, he followed his father into the game and two of his sons served the government.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
